27four is rated as a Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE) according to the dti's B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice. The Codes require QSE’s to comply with ONLY four out of the seven elements of the QSE scorecard. 27four is pleased to note that we in fact meet the minimum requirements of all seven elements of the Generic Scorecard.

Enterprise Development
27four's contribution to Enterprise Development is achieved through application of resources towards it's Black Asset Manager Incubation Program.
The Incubator Program focuses on sourcing Black investment talent and creating seeding opportunities for start-up and emerging Black fund managers in their early stages of growth (SME’s). The central element of the Incubator Program is the support and guidance offered by 27four to assist the managers transition into credible institutional players and achieve the critical mass required for sustained profitability.
Support provided by 27four includes:- implementation of all regulatory and compliance requirements
- provision of daily and monthly portfolio risk reports
- creating brand awareness
- assistance with the formulation of long-term business plans
- operational assistance
The contribution of resources applied by 27four to ensure the effective and successful management of the Incubator Program is in excess of 3% of net profit after tax.

Socio-Economic Development
27four supports socio-economic initiatives based on where we are best able to apply our skills, influence and energy in order to achieve a meaningful impact.
Department of Computational and Applied Mathematics, Wits University
27four annually mentors two post-graduate Mathematics of Finance students from Wits University's Department of Computational and Applied Mathematics. Mentorship is provided on Honours projects and practical skills developed through direct interaction with the 27four investment team.
Greyville Primary School
27four annually makes a monetary contribution to Greyville Primary School towards investment in operational resources. The school caters for an underprivileged community based in one of the poorest areas in southern Johannesburg.
