A blend of new and old
There is an interesting blend of established unit trust businesses and newcomers in the Morningstar category winners. Stalwarts such as Absa, Stanlib and Nedgroup Investments are joined by newcomers such as Harvard House.
The aggressive asset allocation category (which corresponds to the Association for Savings & Investment SA high equity category) was won by Nedgroup Core Diversified. This is not one of the glamorous portfolios run by high-flying portfolio managers such as the Nedgroup Managed or Opportunity Fund.
